About Skydance Animation

Skydance Animation is a relatively new computer animation production company that was only established five years ago. Its parent company, Skydance Productions, has been in the industry for just 20 years. On the other hand, Disney has been around for 98 years and Pixar has been in existence since 1986.

In this short amount of time, Skydance has already managed to secure top talent like John Lasseter, David Ellison, Don Granger, Marcy Ross, and Dana Goldberg. When Skydance made an equity deal with production companies CJ Entertainment and RedBird, it was estimated to have a net worth of $2.3 billion.

Skydance aims to bring fun, exciting animated films to the public independently of major animated film companies like Disney and Pixar that seem to dominate the industry.
